White Range Rover Classic Build Bio
Story: When our client saw this Range Rover Classic in our parking lot, she immediately asked if it was for sale. She wanted something special, so we gave it a full refresh and now it’s her daily driver.
The Truck: 1995 Range Rover Classic LWB - Rover V8 Engine and 4-Speed ZF Automatic Transmission
Phase 1 – Mechanical
Engine work: Cylinder head gaskets replaced on the 4.2L V8 (with full head service), comprehensive tune-up including new spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap, rotor, and air filter, new thermostat, oxygen sensors replaced, radiator and all associated cooling hoses renewed
Full suspension refresh: Complete Polybush kit installed (including panhard rod, trailing arms, and radius arms), front and rear sway bar links and bushings replaced, new front and rear shock absorbers with new front shock turrets, steering damper and full air suspension system removed and converted to coil springs.
Complete braking system overhaul: Front and rear brake discs, pads, and calipers replaced, front and rear stub axles and wheel bearings replaced, all brake flex hoses renewed, and full custom replacement of severely rusted front-to-rear brake lines and rear axle pipes.
Drivetrain service: Rear driveshaft flex coupler replaced, front axle swivel housings fully rebuilt with new ball joints, seals, and bearings, motor mounts replaced
Exhaust system: Full Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust system installed, including Y-pipe with catalytic converters, center muffler, and cat-back tailpipe
Wheels and tires: New set of BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires mounted, balanced, and installed on the original wheels
Transmission service: Full ZF 4-speed automatic transmission fluid and filter service
Additional mechanical: New custom fuel lines fabricated and installed, power steering and all fluids serviced, four-wheel laser alignment performed
Phase 2 – Bodywork & Rust Restoration
Extensive rust repair and structural restoration to the rear of the vehicle: Complete replacement of the rear floor pan (including custom fabrication and welding of a long wheelbase extension panel and spare tire well), additional custom fabricated panels around both rear wheel tubs, rear body crossmember removed and replaced with new reinforced unit and body mounts
Rear corner panel and tailgate restoration: Full repair and restoration of the rear quarter corner panels and lower tailgate sheet metal, including cutting out rusted sections, fabricating and welding in new repair panels, and metal finishing
Full chassis and underbody preparation: Entire rear chassis section, axle housings, and surrounding areas sandblasted to bare metal, extensive rust removal and treatment, followed by multiple coats of high-build epoxy primer
Final bodywork: All repaired panels professionally prepped, primed, and finished with colour-matched top coat for seamless integration with the original white paint
Additional: New interior headliner installed, upgraded period-style single DIN stereo head unit fitted, rear wiper system fully repaired
This two-phase build transformed the high-mileage Range Rover Classic into a mechanically sound and structurally solid long wheelbase example, combining modern reliability with faithful preservation of its classic character.
